Saga Smashers
"A group of people from another dimension, who are, more or less, heroes."
—A textbook documenting the Saga Smashers
The Saga Smashers are a group of heroes that come from Dimension Z. Their most common enemy is Tabuu, who had continously caused trouble for them; although they have always managed to bring down his Subspace army, Tabuu always came back to cause trouble.
The immense power they had in their dimension was obtained from defeating their evil Dimension U counterparts, the Trilogy Crashers; but when the Smashers had traveled to the User Battle Force's dimension, they had been downgraded back to their former power.
The original group was started in 1901; the members had all retired long since then. A new group was started in 2011, with many of them traveling to 2096 to rid the future of the Trilogy Crashers also traveling to that year. This group would serve as the basis of the team for years onward.
The main difference between the Saga Smashers and the actual Smashers is that while the Smashers consist of the regular Nintendo characters with two known exceptions, the Saga Smashers consist of counterparts of such characters, along with various types of armies, and a few dragons. Depending on the timeline, one of the dragons can be either the leader or second-in-command of the team.
